CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Kulaqua's unique program allows camps ages 7 to 17 to come to camp at the same time while providing camper's their own individualized experience.

Each age group is divided into tracks: Cub Camp (ages 7-9), Junior Camp (ages 10-12), & Teen Camp (ages 13-16). We have found that providing a camper with a program that is specifically designed for them, they are happier and more interested.

Our camp counselors are trained through an ACA accredited program especially for their chosen age group and you can rest assured that your camper will be taken care of by our energetic staff.

Camp has designed a program just for their age group, giving them worship songs they will enjoy and skits they’ll love. We want to bring God to your child in a way that they will be able to experience His love and come to know Him in a lasting relationship.

Does your camper dream of horses? Do they neigh in their sleep and post photos of horses all over their room? Then Camp Kulaqua’s Horsemanship camp is the place for them! During this week of camp, your camper will have the opportunity to learn all of the basics of horse care including: grooming, feeding, equipment maintenance, and equine first aid. Your camper will have their ‘own’ horse for the week that they get to groom, ride, and spend their week with.

Your cowboy/cowgirl will learn basic riding technique and skills with their horse and come back full of stories from their trail bag. Don’t worry, they will also get to participate in the other activities camp has to offer, like the water park, spring, and go-carts. And if that isn’t fun enough, evening programs are full of upbeat songs, amusing skits, and a dynamic speaker. This week is jam-packed with fun, activities, and God’s magnificent creature- the horse.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: RYC provides free overnight camp to children with disabilities in order to raise their self-esteem, increase their social skills and provide opportunities for success in outdoor activities. Camp activities include camp activities like swimming, arts & crafts, hikes, bonfires, dance and therapy with horses and dogs and music. Each child has their own counselor for one on one attention. We have professional nursing staff 24/7 who also distribute medicine.

RYC was founded in 1974 by Rotary Clubs in District 6940. Clubs throughout the Florida panhandle provide almost 50% of the funds needed to manage the camp, $65,000 annually. In 2018 RYC was awarded the Florida State University Foundation and College of Education Exemplary Community Agency Award. Corporate and other donations provide our annual budget of $150,000. Campers are accepted without regard to ethnicity, gender, or disability.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): The Cardinal Parent’s Association (CPA)
Designed to allow the parents of campers a chance to
be a part of the activities at Camp Cardinal. A C.P.A members is essentially a parent counselor, assisting with various field trips and activities on a day to day basis.

Requirements
1. Every family is Eligible Parents must sign up within the program’s
set deadlines (C.P.A DOES NOT discriminate against race, creed, and /or religion) This program is strictly based upon a first come – first serve basis. (There are only three C.P.A positions available per session)

2. Must be a biological parent and/or rightful guardian of child.

3. Willing to work with children other than your own.

4. Must be physically active and able to participate in all activities.

5. Last but not least, Willing to have fun!

Rules and Regulations
1. A C.P.A member will act as a head counselor to his/her assigned group.

2. A C.P.A member cannot be a head counselor over his/her child’s group.

3. A C.P.A member must Chaperon various field trips and activities
such as (Late nights).

Agreement
1. Regarding your child’s itinerary you are required to commit
to a certain number of hours per session.

We offer a unique opportunity for kids to experience the wonder and joy of curiosity, discovery and new knowledge in regards to nature in general and unique ecosystems in the Ft. Lauderdale and Dania beach.

In addition to our wonderful summer camp programs, we offer winter and spring camp experiences. FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Camp Live Oak allows your child to explore the world around them here in South Florida, enjoying the many aspects of our beautiful environment! Each Camp Live Oak session and week is centered around a theme, with activities and programs built around that theme. Understanding the local natural environment and developing a respect and stewardship for that environment is vital to our program. The integration of science and art into each week allows for creativity and enthusiasm for learning and doing.

Campers enjoy swimming, canoeing, science, kayaking, arts and crafts, sports, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding and archery every week that they are at camp, with different activities rotating on various days. Exciting and educational field trips, guest speakers and specialty programs are scheduled regularly to give your child an extremely well rounded day camp experience!

Remember, you may register for as many, or as few, weeks as you’d like, there is no minimum number of weeks.

We highly recommend children attend for at least two weeks so they are able to have a full camp experience, but we are flexible as we know your summer schedule may be full of fun activities.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 2 dorms, complete with air conditioning and showers, an outdoor pool, a dining hall, outdoor chapel, main lodge for activities and gatherings, a field for sports, and a sand volleyball court. Lake Howell provides a place for canoes and paddleboats.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: San Pedro Catholic Camp is staffed by qualified young men and women who are active in Church ministry and have a deep sense of God in their own lives. All staff members have been screened by the State of Florida, fingerprinted by the Diocese of Orlando, and are well trained for their positions, including certification on working with young people in a safe environment through the American Camp Association.

Overnight and Day Camp participants are offered an opportunity to unplug from distractions and take a step back from everyday life to create important lasting relationships. CAMP FACILITIES: We have a 50' round pen to start off beginners, a medium and a large enclosed arena with barrels and jumps for more advanced riding. In the large stableyard, we have lot's of cross ties so that all horses are crosstied to be groomed and tacked. There are several mounting blocks/steps to make it easier to get on the horses.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We usually have pre-vet and animal science students from UF and provide training for volunteers. We like to maintain a high counsellor-to-camper ratio.

Our instructor is the program director and the farm owner/manager is support staff and volunteer coordinator.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): On Friday, family is invited to a "horse show," in which campers show friends and family the skills they've learned. It will include a mounted relay race, an obstacle/agility challenge and perhaps surprise presentations.

CAMP FACILITIES: Great facility with 2 large dance rooms with sprung floors for the safety and well fair of students. A changing room, reception area, and bathrooms.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The themed kiddie camps are dedicated to children ages 3 - 6 years of age. The program allows children to explore various types of dance forms such as ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, acrobatics and flamenco. Children are given daily dance related arts and crafts projects. The program also allows children to further develop their love of dance through stories. Children learn to express themselves through dance in a creative, energetic and nurturing environment. Programs are two weeks long per session. Imagination is brought into play as they learn to dance with their favorite movie characters! Dance Intensives are offered to students at the age of 8 years or older. It is designed for all levels of dance to further develop their technique while experiencing other forms of dance such as Modern Dance, Improvisation and Composition. CAMP FACILITIES: This camp is held at the Miami Seaquarium which is home to dolphins, turtles, seals, sea lions, sharks, fish, invertebrates, tropical birds, reptiles, penguins and so much more!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Join our S.E.A. Camp crew for a fun-filled week of science, conservation, activities, exploration, and all of the animals at the Miami Seaquarium! Social Academic Program

Have you often felt that your child may be too “high functioning” for a self contained ESE classroom, yet he or she is “struggling” in a regular education classroom? If so, our school may be the option for you. At Alpine Academy, we have designed a specific program to help meet the needs of your child. Our social academic program is designed to meet the particular academic and social needs of high functioning students with Autism, ADD, ADHD, and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD).

The core curriculum used in our academic programs is Direct Instruction. DI is a model that emphasizes carefully-planned lessons focused on learning in small increments and focuses instruction around clearly-defined teaching tasks. DI is based on the theory that by using clear instruction and teaching to mastery, teachers can accelerate learning for all students – high performers as well as students with learning disabilities.

Under DI, students will be placed in flexible, homogeneous groups in reading, language, and math. Students are expected to score 90% or higher on the daily and weekly assessments. Skills are taught and scaffolded along the way so that 85% of each lesson reviews previously taught skills and 15% of instruction is introducing new skills. Students advance through the program only once they have demonstrated mastery of the concepts. Students who show exceptional progress can fast-cycle through lessons if they show continued mastery of concepts. Students are individually assessed every 5 to 10 lessons, and their progress is meticulously tracked by the teacher.

Language and Learning Skills Program

This program is intended for students who need basic language and academic skills. This program uses the ABLLS-R (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills) as an assessment tool, curriculum guide, and skills-tracking system. ABLL-R is used to help guide the instruction of language and critical learning skills for children with autism or other developmental disabilities. The ABLLS-R provides a comprehensive review of 544 skills from 25 skill areas including language, social interaction, self-help, academic, and motor skills which most typically developing children acquire prior to entering kindergarten. The task items within each skill area are arranged from simple to more complex tasks. Expressive language skills are assessed based upon the behavioral analysis of language as presented by Dr. B.F. Skinner in his book, Verbal Behavior (1957).

Functional/Vocational Skills Program

Our Functional Skills Program is designed to prepare students for greater independence through functional skills instruction. This program uses the Assessment of Functional Living Skills(AFLS) to assess, track, and develop an appropriate sequence of goals for learners. The AFLS tracks progress in six different modules: Basic Living Skills, Home Skills, Community Participation Skills, Vocational Skills, and Independent Living Skills.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our Staff
We have a team of over 40 behavior analysts, behavior therapists, special educators and Infant Toddler Developmental Specialists. Our staff are highly skilled, experienced, dedicated, and caring professionals.

All our behavior analysts hold state or national Board Certification in applied behavior analysis. Some of them also hold credentials in exceptional education. Our therapists also have years of experience working with persons who have learning and behavioral difficulties.

Our teachers are trained in teaching children with autism and children with other developmental disablities using effective teaching methods based on the priciples of ABA. They are also trained in verbal behavior.

Jing Zhou, M.S., BCBA, President and Executive Director

Jing Zhou is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She received her M.S. in Behavior Analysis and Therapy from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1993. She has extensive experience working with individuals with autism, Asperger's Syndrome, mental handicaps, traumatic brain injury, emotional disabilities, and other developmental disabilities. She specializes in setting up verbal behavior programs, teaching functional communication and social skills, decreasing severe problem behaviors, as well as school and inclusion consultation.

Jing has given numerous presentations at state and national conferences. She has also conducted countless workshops and training sessions for educators, direct-care staff, home-therapy teams, parents, and other caregivers in the United States and in other countries. She holds memberships in the Association for Behavior Analysis, Florida Association for Behavior Analysis, Autism Society of America, and the Council for Exceptional Children.

Jing has over 20 years experience working in home, school, community, and residential settings. She has extensive experience setting up home and school programs, and training parents and school staff to carry out these programs.

Jing has developed many services to meet the different needs of children and their families. She ensures that Interventions Unlimited continues to provide high-quality educational and behavioral programs.

Wendy Zeballos, Ed.D., BCBA-D, Director of Clinical Services

Wendy Zeballos received her Master’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from University of Nevada. She received her Doctoral degree in Education from Argosy University. She has practiced in the field of behavior analysis for over 14 years and has been working mainly with children and adolescents with autism or other developmental disabilities. Wendy has extensive clinical experience in the areas of conducting functional behavioral assessments, developing ABA programs and behavior intervention plans, conducting individual ABA therapy, parent training and staff training. She has worked with individuals who have challenging difficulties such as aggression, self-injurious behaviors, severe communication delays, eating problems, and dental phobia.

Wendy specializes in early intervention, verbal behavior, and works intensively with children who have severe language delays. In the process, she trains parents to work effectively with their children to improve communication, compliance and to use behavioral strategies such as positive reinforcement. Wendy strives to educate others on the importance of working with individuals and not just their disabilities. She collaborates with other professionals to provide optimal therapy for our clients.

As the Clinical Director of Interventions Unlimited, Wendy supervises a team of over 30 behavior analysts, behavior therapists and Infant Toddler Developmental Specialists.

CAMP FACILITIES: We rest on 167 acres and 3 lakes. We have 2 lodges and 10 cabins and multiple meeting areas. We also have a dining hall with av/audio equipment built in and ready to use.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We are own by the St. Augustine Presbytery. We are Presbyterian by nature and we accept all different denominations. We have been around since 1957 and are accredited by American Camp Association (ACA).

For our summer camp, we have a staff of 24 young adults that are all trained in counseling. They are also First Aid and CPR certified. We have a core of lifeguards on staff as well along with Challenge Course Facilitators.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Keshet provides a safe, warm, nurturing and FUN environment with developmentally appropriate activities and facilities, our program is specifically designed to meet the individual needs of each young Camp Keshet camper.

During the summer of 2014 more than 70,000 US and international campers attended a US Sports Camps program. US Sports Camps currently offers 24 programs in 15 different sports.

Our summer sports camps include: Baseball, Basketball, Crew, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Multi-Sport, Rugby, Running, Soccer, Softball, Swim, Tennis, Ultimate, Volleyball, Waterpolo, and Yoga. We also offer several International sports camps around the world. Our sports camps continue to grow thanks to an outstanding community of Camp Directors and the dedication of the entire USSC staff. Participate in a split-day camp with other children in their age group (5-6, 7-9), doing coding activities in the morning and robotics/engineering challenges in the afternoon.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our top decks can currently accommodate 144 students a week in our junior officer state rooms, which house six students each. Our virtual aircraft carrier, AMBITION, also has a deck where all the learning facilities are located, and another deck where we house our flight simulators.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The National Flight Academy offers one of the most exciting and immersive learning experiences in the world- inspiring 5-12th graders to take an interest in science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), in an aviation-themed adventure aboard a massive virtual aircraft carrier, AMBITION (CVT-11). This four-story 102,000 square foot facility is designed scenically and theatrically to simulate a modern aircraft carrier.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Unfortunately, scholarship funds through the National Flight Academy are not available for our 2016 season. In the event that something does become available, updates will be posted on our website and social media platforms. CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Illahaw’s “Cow-Town” Look. Camp Illahaw sports the theme of “Old Florida”. Our Mess Hall, Bathhouse, Counselor Cabin, and Recreation Room are the beginning of Main Street. Boys and Girls Dorm

Set in the style of an old-Florida cracker-town from the 1800′s, our dormitories and activity rooms serve as the perfect home base for the week’s activities. We have a boys dorm and a girls dorm each with 32 camper capacity. Counselor to camper ratio is 6:1 at night so counselors stay in the dorm with campers all night. With so much to do, campers can stay for multiple weeks with no additional charge for overnights between sessions and we also offer laundry service free of charge!

The Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida Visitor Center is home to the Cypress Restaurant, the Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida Marketplace and serves as the departure point for fun safaris offered through Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Illahaw is owned and operated by the Allen Broussard Conservancy, a non-profit organization established in 1991. Since 2005, Camp Illahaw has offered campers the chance to experience all Florida has to offer with a diverse selection of fun activities from Horseback Trail Rides; Arena Activities; Florida History/Heritage; Low Ropes Challenge Course; Hiking; Kayaking; Archery; Shooting; Swimming, Paintball*; and our “unique” Outdoor Survival Activity*. At Camp Illahaw, not only do we concentrate on camper activities but also their social interactions under the guidance of camp directors and counselors assuring a safe and fun experience for everyone. There are up to 12 campers and two staff in each cabin surrounding centrally located bathhouses. Our meals are prepared by our camp chefs and served family style in our air conditioned dining hall. Our well-balanced meals include cereal, salad bar and sandwich options for those campers wishing an alternative/supplement to the meal. We are equipped to accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs.

1) Youth Academy - Designed for boys and girls ages 6-10. Fun, exciting and engaging activities are all part of the week. Throughout the week, players will be put in a competitive environment that will bring out their very best. In our unique evening competitions, players will have the opportunity to compete against other teams, other players and themselves.

4) College Prep Academy - Our goal is to provide an incredible environment where serious soccer players will be exposed to the highest level of instruction in anticipation of playing at the highest level possible. High Performance Seminars will be led by trusted experts in their field and will include: Sports Nutrition, Soccer Specific Conditioning, ACT/SAT Preparation and Sport Psychology. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Road Less Traveled as an organization was founded by Jim and Donna Stein in 1991, and has been successfully running safe, exciting, life-changing trips for teens ever since. Both Jim and Donna are still the current directors, and are integrally involved in every single aspect of the company. In the summer, they are on call 24/7, available both to parents as well as to our leaders in the field.

We are an ACA accredited organization with an impeccable track record. We believe in the process of accreditation. It allows us to compare our standards to other professionals in the industry. Our accreditation allows us to follow specific standards related to leader screening including use of application forms, reference checks, personal interviews, work history review, and background checks.

Many years ago, we were the first company serving young adults to require that all leaders have a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) medical certification. WFR training is far more advanced than standard first aid or wilderness first aid. In addition to this certification, we carry extensive first aid kits on all of our programs that include antibiotics and epinephrine. Contents, protocols, and standing orders are reviewed and updated every year by our Medical Director who is an MD.

Since our inception, RLT has been on the cutting edge of technological advances in communication. We began carrying Iridium satellite phones on all of our programs as soon as they were available. Today we continue to carry the latest in emergency communication systems. According to geographic location, programs are equipped with satellite phones, ground-to-air radios, and/or cellular phones providing the possibility of 24-hour access to medical help in case of emergency.

CAMP FACILITIES: We feel that a camp experience should be one filed with the allure of living outdoors. Part of the experience is the soothing sounds of the Florida night. Our rustic cabins give the camper the perfect blend of the outdoor experience and a few comforts of home. Our cabins have 12-16 bunks, ceiling fans, power, storage shelves and a front porch. Teen campers enrolled in Camp Warrior live in more modern cabins complete with air conditioning, lofts, and a kitchenette. Bathhouses are located next to the cabin areas. Each bathhouse features toilets, sinks, and private shower stalls.

The flagship of our facilities is our newer 14,000 square foot activities center complete with 24 stall center isle barn, with tack rooms, wash bays, bathrooms and indoor skatepark. This 40 acre facility also houses our new high ropes challenge course designed by Project Adventure and our ATV track. Next to our activities center is our new camp office which includes a recording studio and comfortable, climate controlled activity room for Camp Warrior. An extensive renovation plan is in place over the next three years that will transform camp!

Another high point of Camp Indian Springs facilities is our natural fresh water spring. This natural wonder is over 40′ deep in some places! For most of the year the water flows clear and it always remains a refreshing 68 degrees. Indian Springs is internationally know as one of the best cave systems in the world to dive. Unfortunately we can’t offer this to our campers but we stay very busy catering to the divers in the off season. Tours can be arranged with Cave Connections.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Indian Springs, first established in 1965, is a fun-filled, action packed private summer resident camp for boys and girls ages 7-16. Located on 77 acres, camp is nestled beside the wooded springs of beautiful Wakulla Springs State Park amidst the Apalachicola and Wakulla Forest of North Florida. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Unbeatables is the only Life Skills Training and Multi sports summer program in USA, created especially for children ages 5 to 14. CAMP FACILITIES: Our facility is a 2,100 sq. feet quality, modern martial arts training center. The floors are padded matting. We have separate men's and women's restrooms and locker rooms available. Weekly field trips are scheduled to several different public venues in the area utilizing our passenger-sized transportation system.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Martial Arts World staff is employed by certified instructors and highly qualified individuals in training. The school was founded by world-renowned Grandmaster YK Kim. Grandmaster YK Kim is a modern philosopher of leadership, motivation, and health. He is a celebrated community leader and has received honors such the Thomas Jefferson Award, Ambassador at Large, Orange County ( Florida) Honorary Deputy Sherriff, and the proclamation of YK Kim Day. He energizes, inspires, and encourages people to maximize their potential and have a quality life.

Martial Arts World promotes 5 Kinds of Fitnesses ( physical, mental, moral, financial, and life) as a discipline of self-improvement. Martial Arts World maintains its action philosophy through the 5 kinds of life saving self-defense techniques.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We offer three main camp programs including:

Camp J Traditional Camp for children entering grades K-8 provides a well-rounded traditional camp program every week. Campers are placed into groups by age, and participate in a variety of activities like arts and crafts, recreation, music, science, dance, cooking and more!

Camp J Sports is an instructional and recreational sports program within the framework of the General Camp. Campers are placed into a group based on age and skill level, and practice and compete in a variety of sports including basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, volleyball, dodgeball, and more!

Specialty Camps give campers the opportunity to focus on learning new skills within a specific program area. Ages and dates vary by program. Programs this summer include theater, basketball, art, science, dance and more!

Our new director of Camp J, Betsy has been working at camp for 25 years. It’s a magical place where kids can be themselves and feel accepted and cared for. It’s also a place of learning and growth, where campers can explorer their interests and find out about ones they never had! YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: School's Out Days: Pack even more fun into your summer! Our School’s Out Day mini-camp program on Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1 bridge the end of school and the start of camp.

Saturday Night Out: Each month, the JCC also offers its
Saturday Night Out program for children. Drop your kids off for a fun night of pizza, games and activities with their friends and favorite counselors, while you enjoy a
night out! The program runs 6-11 p.m.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp J is a program of the Jack & Lee Rosen Jewish Community Center. We are a cultural institution whose mission is to serve local families and our entire community. Jewish values and culture are the foundation from which we derive our mission. We believe that these values – such as respect, honestly, friendship, and community – are universal.

The Southwest Orlando community is incredibly diverse, and this diversity is embraced in all of our programming. Our goal is to make all campers feel comfortable and included. We are not a religious institution, although we sometimes sing songs with Hebrew words (usually the word “shalom”, or “peace” is a prominent theme), and we do a brief Shabbat celebration on Friday afternoon, which includes a song session filled with spirit (“ruach”) and eating challah bread. We also bring a counselor from Israel to lead our arts and crafts activities, with the intention of exposing our children to a different culture and building a relationship between our communities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Everglades Youth Conservation Camp is an American Camp Association (ACA) accredited facility, meeting all ACA health, safety, and program quality standards.

The Youth Camp was created in the 1960's by individuals who cared deeply about conservation, protecting wilderness areas, wildlife in natural habitats and preserving a way of life.

The camp facility is managed by the Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Residential summer camp programs are for children completing 3rd – 8th grade.

The EYCC also offers a Leadership Camp for youth completing grades 9th – 12th grade. Summer camp activities challenge camper’s physical, mental and social growth. Group leaders and instructors serve as guides through camp life and activities, mentors and role models. EYCC’s summer programs feature a unique conservation education theme with outdoor adventure activities in the Florida Everglades, as well as time to relax, have fun and make new friends. CAMP FACILITIES: We run day camps at fantastic facilities across the country!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camps feature a fun "guided discovery" program for our younger players featuring age appropriate practices, combined with small sided games and competitions.

Our "total soccer" philosophy will challenge our older players to improve their technique on the ball and improve their tactical understanding of the modern game.

All of our staff are qualified with English and USSF "A" licenses with many years experience coaching professional clubs youth teams in England and top clubs in the USA.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We were voted #1 summer camp in the Davie, Cooper City Gazette.

We have talent shows, special events, color war, flagpole, flagpool, international counselors. Themes dress up days.
